The Portland Trailblazers claim J.J. Hickson off waivers

Blogged under General, Comings & Goings, Bloglockers, Big Blazers News, Front Page by alleyoop on Friday 23 March 2012 at 8:10 am

The Trailblazers have claimed 23-year old PF/C J.J. Hickson off waivers from the Kings. Hickson played in 35 games (9 starts) for the Kings this year and he averaged 18.4 minutes, 4.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. He has now played in 258 games (148 starts) in his first four years in the NBA and he is averaging 20.5 minutes, 8.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. Hickson could eventually work his way into a lot of P.T. at center for the Blazers. He has a high upside as he played really well for the Cavaliers last year. I love this pickup for the Trailblazers.
