The Trailblazers outrebounded the Pacers 45-32 last night and it was a big reason for the beatdown they applied to them. Brandon Roy led the way for the Blazers last night with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. LaMarcus Aldridge also had a solid game with 19 points and 7 rebounds last night. Rudy Fernandez was electric off the bench for the Blazers last night with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. The Trailblazers are now 37-27 on the year.

The Portland Trailblazers sign Travis Diener

The Trailblazers have signed 28-year old PG/SG Travis Diener. Diener played in 4 games (0 starts) for the Pacers this season and he averaged 6.3 minutes, 0.8 points, 0.5 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game. Diener has now played in 174 games (21 starts) in his NBA career and he is averaging 15.1 minutes, 4.9 points, 1.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. This was a nice signing depth-wise for the Blazers.

Portland Trailblazers 103, Memphis Grizzlies 93

The Trailblazers shocked the Grizzlies in the third quarter last night outscoring them 41-21 which set the stage for a nice road in last night in Memphis. Brandon Roy had a great game to lead the way for the Blazers with 25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. Nicolas Batum continued his fine play in the starting lineup as he pitched in with 21 points and 3 rebounds in 33 minutes on the court. Andre Miller made everything go on offense for the Blazers finishing with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. The Trailblazers are now 36-27 on the year.

The rookies of the Trailblazers are stepping up when called upon. Power forward Dante Cunningham has played in 45 games (1 starts) for the Blazers this season and he is averaging 11.9 minutes, 4.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game on 50.6% shooting from the floor. Fellow power forward Jeff Pendergraph has also been effective when he has gotten the chance to play. Pendergraph has played in 29 games (4 starts) for the Trailblazers this season and he is averaging 11.9 minutes, 2.6 points and 2.9 rebounds per game on 64.4% shooting from the floor. Point guard Patrick Mills was recently called up from the D-League. He has played in 6 games (0 starts) for the Trailblazers this season and he is averaging 2.3 minutes, 1.2 points, 0.2 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game.

The Portland Trailblazers need Marcus Camby to step up

The Portland Trailblazers need more out of Marcus Camby. He has played in 2 games (both starts) for the Trailblazers this season and he is averaging 32.5 minutes, 2.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 3.5 blocked shots per game. The defense and rebounding have been there for Camby with the Blazers. But, they need a little more out of him offensively as he is only shooting 16.7% from the floor so far this season for the Trailblazers.
