The Portland Trailblazers sign Shavlik Randolph

Blogged under General, Comings & Goings, Bloglockers, Big Blazers News, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 29 December 2009 at 8:13 pm

The Trailblazers have signed 26-year old power forward Shavlik Randolph to a 1-year deal. Randolph played in 2 games (0 starts) for the Heat this year and he averaged 11.5 minutes, 1.0 point and 3.5 rebounds per game. He has now played in 91 games (7 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 8.3 minutes, 2.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. Randolph is a injury prone player but if he can stay healthy he can help the Blazers.

UPDATE: The Blazers have already waived Shavlik Randolph. Randolph played in 2 games (0 starts) for the Blazers this year and he averaged 2.5 minutes, 2.0 points, 0.5 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game. It’s possible that the Trailblazers might re-sign Randolph if he clears waivers.

UPDATE II: The Blazers have re-signed Shavlik Randolph to a 10-day contract.
