Portland Trail Blazers 122, Chicago Bulls 98
The Portland Trailblazers (11-5) easily took down the Chicago Bulls (6-7) Monday night. The Blazers got some extra offense from Greg Oden, who is usually more of a defensive minded player. Oden, who is still pretty raw on the offensive end, was very efficient and went 7-8 from the field and 10-12 from the line for a career-high 24 points. He also added 12 rebounds and 2 blocks. The offense was on for the Blazers tonight as 5 different players scored in double figures. The defense did a good job, especially in the 4th quarter when they outscored the Bulls 32-18. Bulls’ swingman John Salmons started the game on fire, putting in 12 points in the first quarter. The Blazers did a good job of not letting Salmons have a big night after having a big first quarter, holding him to 10 points for the rest of the game. They had a hard time containing Luol Deng though, who led the Bulls with 25 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. The Blazers got a huge boost from their bench, scoring 47 points, with Rudy Fernandez leading the way with 16 points and 5 assists. Brandon Roy had a solid 18 points, 7 assists, and 2 rebounds and LaMarcus Aldridge had a great game with 24 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 assists. The Blazers have now won 9 of their last 11 games.
