The Trailblazers have signed Luke Jackson to a 1-year contract. The Blazers are hoping that a return to Oregon where Jackson was a star for the Ducks will jumpstart his NBA career. Jackson played in 14 games (1 start) for the Heat last season and he averaged 16.3 minutes, 5.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. Jackson will have to earn every minute he gets for the Blazers this season as they appear to be a pretty deep basketball team. Jackson has now played in 73 games (3 starts) in his NBA career to date and he has averaged 9.9 minutes, 3.5 points, 1.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. Despite having the reputation of being a good shooter at Oregon, Jackson has only connected on 35.7% of his shots from the floor in the NBA and that won’t get it done.
