The rookie class of the Trailblazers has been disappointing

Blogged under Bloglockers, Rookie Reports, Front Page, Uncategorized by alleyoop on Monday 31 December 2007 at 1:43 am

With center Greg Oden out for the season the Blazers likely won’t get much this season from their rookie class. Guard Taurean Green has played in 4 games this season and he’s averaging 6.0 minutes, 2.3 points, 0.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. F/C Josh McRoberts has only played in 2 games this season and he has 1 rebound. McRoberts has yet to take a shot this season.

The Portland Trailblazers need more from Jarrett Jack

Blogged under Bloglockers, Need to step up, Front Page by alleyoop on Wednesday 12 December 2007 at 12:50 am

The Blazers need more from Jarrett Jack or he will never get his starting job at point guard back. Jack has played in 4 games so far this month and he has averaged 20.5 minutes, 6.3 points, 0.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. The Blazers have to be disappointed with Jack’s play this season as they were hoping to build around him after his breakout season last year.

Blogged under Bloglockers, Steppin Up, Front Page by alleyoop on Wednesday 12 December 2007 at 12:47 am

James Jones has been outstanding so far this month for the Blazers. He has played in 4 games (0 starts) in December and he is averaging 25.3 minutes, 12.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. He also is shooting the lights out as he is hitting 59.3% from the floor this month. The Blazers need him to keep it up off of the bench as they need all of the offense that they can get.

The Portland Trailblazers are off to a bad start

Blogged under Bloglockers, Game recaps, Front Page by alleyoop on Wednesday 12 December 2007 at 12:43 am

If the Blazers had Greg Oden they would likely be over .500 right now. But, they are in 3rd place in the Northwest Division 4.5 games behind the Nuggets and Jazz. The Blazers are only averaging 93.7 points per game so far this season and that just won’t get it done.

Joel Przybilla has been solid for the Portland Trailblazers so far this season

Blogged under Bloglockers, Steppin Up, Front Page by alleyoop on Thursday 6 December 2007 at 2:26 pm

Joel Przybilla has been a huge surprise so far this season for the Blazers. With Greg Oden out for the season the Blazers needed someone on their roster to step up and Przybilla has been that guy. In his first 17 games this season Przybilla has averaged 18.9 minutes, 5.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 1.2 blocks per game. The Blazers would be pleased if Przybilla can keep up this level of play for the rest of the season.
