The Portland Trailblazers send Jarrett Jack to the bench

Blogged under Bloglockers, Need to step up, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 6 November 2007 at 11:04 pm

The Trailblazers have decided to replace Jarrett Jack in the starting lineup with Steve Blake. Jack has not played well so far this season and it’s hurting the whole offense. Jack has played in 3 games this season and he’s averaging 24.7 minutes, 2.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. Blake is a better shooter than Jack and that could open up some things inside for the Blazers front line. Blake has played in 3 games this season for the Blazers and he is averaging 26.3 minutes, 6.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. This should improve the offense for the Blazers. It will be interesting to see Jarrett Jack handles his demotion to the bench because he could get his job back if he plays well.

The Trailblazers fought hard against the defending World Champs but they fell in the end. The shocker was the game that center Joel Przybilla put in as he scored 13 points and snapped up 10 rebounds. The Blazers are now 0-1 on the season.
