Rookies doing damage for the Blazers

Brandon Roy & Sergio Rodriguez have been playing really well lately.  In his last 7 games, Roy is averaging 32.9 minutes, 16.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.6 steals per game.  He also is shooting well froom three-point range as he’s hit 10 of his last 19 (52.6%) attempts!  Roy is a building block for the future of this franchise.

Sergio Rodriguez has been a sparkplug off the bench lately.  In his last 7 games, Rodriguez is averaging 16.0 minutes, 6.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists.  Rodriguez also has hit 55.6% of his shots from the floor in those games.  He will earn more playing time if he keeps up this level of play.

The Blazers need to get Jamaal Magloire more playing time

Blogged under Need to step up, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Tuesday 16 January 2007 at 11:31 pm

It seems like the Blazers don’t know what they have in Jamaal Magloire.  Let me help them out……you have a former All-Star that still has game sitting on the bench.  They need to give him more minutes.  He has played in 39 games and is averaging 5.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 0.4 assists this season.  His only real weakness is his free-throw shooting as he’s only hitting 54.7% from the line.
