The Blazers were wheeling and dealing all draft night and they came out smelling like a rose. LeMarcus Aldridge will be a starter in the near future. Until then, he will provide quality minutes off the bench. Aldridge has played in 17 games and has averaged 21.8 minutes, 7.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game. He is also hitting an outstanding 51% of his shots from the floor.
Brandon Roy has been injured for most of the season, but he looks very similar in style to Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat. Roy is a fearless player that likes to attack the rim. Roy has only played in 5 games this season and has averaged 27.3 minutes, 11.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game so far this season. He needs to work on shot selection as he’s only hitting 37.7% of his shots from the floor.
Sergio Rodriguez is a very exciting back-up point guard. He has played in 17 games and has averaged 11.2 minutes, 2.5 points, 1.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game so far this season. He needs to also work on his shooting as he is only hitting 37% of his shots from the floor.
This could go down as one of the best drafts in the history of the Portland Trailblazers.
